Measures 17.5"x37'5"
A nice colorful Navajo, using pleasing colors in this double diamond design, otherwise known as an eye dazzler.  It actually looks like a pair of dazzling eyes!  Would look lovely over a chair or banister, but is durable enough to use on the floor.    Nice cream field with pastel pink and navy blue "eyes".
Professionally cleaned and ready to be treasured in your home.  Please use all pictures to aid in your item description and ask any questions. Thank you for looking at this and our other items for sale.
Vintage Navajo pictorial Rug / Blanket.  Woven by Marie Charley of the well known Charley family of
Navajo Nation
weavers.  Approximately 34 inches by 26 inches.  A pictorial depiction of life on the reservation showing Sandstone buttes with traditional hogan dwellings and contemporary housing, vehicles including 2 rarely depicted school buses, trees, etc.  Selling for a 94 years young lady we have helped move to assisted living and is downsizing a considerable collection.  She states her memory of this rug was its purchase in the late 1970's at a trading post in the Shiprock area of New Mexico.  She states she never displayed this piece and it has been in storage in her closet (where we found it) since returning from their 1970's vacation.  In excellent condition with no fading, fraying, mothing or other issues noted.  Very displayable but a light cleaning or lint rolling would enhance.   Thanks for looking!
