This is an incredible black deep carved NAVAJO signed pottery bowl.  It was done by Reycita Cosen who was a daughter of potter Pasqualita Baca and a niece of Nestora Silva.  She is also the sister of potter Helen Shupla.  She is known for the complex carving on her pottery.  Each piece is coil built, carved, stone polished and traditionally fired.  This particular piece has 2 fabulous full body ram figures on each side.  I have tried to photo all the carving so please look closely at them and magnify them too.  There are no cracks or chips to the piece.  This is just a beautiful addition to any INDIAN (NAVAJO) Collection.  The piece is 6 1/2" tall and quite heavy.
