Award-winning
Seferina Ortiz (1931-2007) is one of the most important matriarchs of Cochiti
Storytellers and figural pottery.
She passed her traditional techniques and
firing to her children who have become top, award-winning potters themselves.
Seferina is the most
highly represented Pueblo potter in the Wright Collection of the Peabody Museum
at Harvard University.
