This is a beautiful original Native American-made pottery figure by the famous Santa Clara Native American artist / potter Eugene Gutierrez (1953-2010). From what I could find, this is called the
Buffalo Dancer
. I have seen this referred to as a Kachina-style figure also. It is in perfect condition with no chips, scratches, cracks, or breaks. The bottom still has the original price tag of $270. I lifted up the top left corner of the price tag and it reads "
E. Gutierrez SCP
." The figure measures 5.25" tall. It is a matte finish pottery with a few shiny spots of detail that really made this a great piece. It is an amazing design and the attention to details is why he became such a famous artist. This came out of a great collection of Native pottery. See my eBay for another figure by Gutierrez.
