Forrest Naranjo (Santa Clara, 1963- ) is known for his wonderfully creative sgraffito work and the sienna/brown firing style which is a color in-between that of the traditional Santa Clara black and red. This piece is shaped like a water-smoothed river rock, with a flat bottom and an oval irregular shape covered with multiple Mimbres-inspired animal figures; the tallest bump has been made into a sun representation. Measures approximately 2.75 by 2 by 1 inch. Signed on the bottom F.N. No obvious chips, cracks, or repairs.
