Being offered is a Hopi Indian art pottery bowl.  This is signed, Loretta Silas, and has the classic Hopi designs, hand painted encircling the bowl.  The bowl shows very minor age and wearing, there are no chips or cracks noted.  The bowl is approx. 3 7/8" wide by 1 5/8" tall.
Loretta Silas Poleahla (1964-2007).  Loretta was one of eight daughters of well-known potter Roberta Youvella-Silas. Loretta learned her craft from her mother and was a true traditional artist. She dug her own clay and used all naturals paints made from plants and minerals. Her work was fired outdoors.
