This is pottery.  As such, even first quality items may have minor flaws that are considered acceptable, as part of the hand-crafted nature of pottery.
Available is a Vintage Hand Etched and Painted Pottery Vase. There is an opening in the side the vase with a Dream Catcher. The  black squiggles are burn marks from horse hair, created during firing. The base is signed, "C Smith, Navajo." The vase measures 5-3/4 inches tall and 4-3/4 inches at the widest. Condition is good; no chips or cracks. There is some paint loss (photo 2.)
