Made by Maynard and Veronica Navasie, this whiteware wedding vase measures approximately 8-1/4" tall and 5" wide. Design of traditional Navasie family elements in dark brown, sienna and creamy white.  Signed on the bottom
M.N. & V.N.
and their frog mark.  Maynard was of the Hopi First Mesa, was the grandson of first Frog Woman and and son of the Second Frog Woman Joy Navasie. Veronica was taught by her mother Laura Preston.
Condition:  Very good with one very small blue ink mark on handle (see photo).
The previous owner purchased this vase at the Many Hands Gallery, Sedona, Arizona in May 1992.

Gorgeous Native American Pottery Storyteller by Vangie Suina of Cochiti Pueblo. Vangie specializes in storytellers in contemporary designs and vibrant colors. Her works of art are created using traditional hand coiling methods, which she learned from her mother.
This storyteller is accompanied by twelve children sitting in her lap and on her back. It measures approximately 5.5" tall x 4" wide x 3.75" deep. The bottom is marked "Vangie Suina Cochiti 84".
Vangie has been working with clay art since the age of 22 (in the early 1980's). This is one of her earlier pieces.
The storyteller is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or paint wear.
