Large Sikyatki Vase by Famous Hopi Potter Antoinette Honie
Hand coiled, polished the traditional way using a polishing stone, painted using a yucca brush, then fired using the fuel of choice (sheep dung) - traditional from start to finish. Incidentally, the paints used by Antoinette are produced by none other that her husband using vegetation from the surrounding area.
Vase stands 6 1/8 inches tall with a diameter of 7 inches.
