This photograph was taken by De Lancey Gill in 1912, it appeared as an illustration in Frances Densmore's 1918 study of Teton Sioux music. The man is called Charging Bear also known by Matho Wathakpe from the Blackfoot Teton Sioux Tribe. Very nice photograph. No damage seen. Marked on back 3115B and Kodak so this photo is a copy of the original. Still very rare. Measures 10" tall, 8" wide.
