INCLUDING CHINA - JAPAN - SOUTH KOREA AND RUSSIA
Offered in this sale an adorable tiny - miniature - Indian pottery pot that I am told is likely Acoma Pueblo. Which I posted it I had thought it to be Santa Clara Pueblo made by Margaret and Luther Gutierrez, however, a fellow Ebay member wrote to tell me it is more likely Acoma
possibly
Mary Luther. It is signed ML on the underside of the base which you can see illustrated in the 2nd image. Collectors more specialized in Native American pottery will perhaps have a better idea of the makers mark. It measures a mere 1 5/8" tall x 1 1/8" in diameter at its widest. The condition is very good. There are no chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines or restoration.
Please be sure to enlarge and zoom each image for a close up view of the detail of the decoration and condition. Do not hesitate to send me a message if you have questions or would like additional images.
I always guarantee everything that I sell to be as described. This piece is being sold without a reserve as long as there is an opening bid. The shipping cost within the United States is $3.50

COMMENTS:
A wonderful very early Hopi
pot with a fairly thin walled construction and a wonderful old design inside the bowl. Lots of signs of great age it looks to be the type of bowl one might use in the Kiva. It has a wonderful old patina and finish. All hand coiled pottery and hand painted using a traditional yucca brush.
A BEAUTIFUL and CLASSIC POLYCHROME example
