--- No idea of subject/vintage/photographer (for all I know this might just be an enlargment of someone dressed like an Indian Chief in a photo studio, could be from an RPPC). There are no half-tones so not press printed. I don't know if this is an enlargment from a copy negative (photograph of a photograph) or from an original negative. In the dark areas on the left and right there are hints of reflections like a silver gelatin print

The photo itself is on a board stock type paper, like the stock used for cardboard posters in old grocery stores
In fact, the back of the photo can be seen in the bottom area where it has seperated from the backing board. I can see a faint reddish/orange/pink areas that look like an advertising sign, I can see a sun with rays, the word "IT" (backwards), clearly defined shapes, but I can't tell what the back image was originally. That back image is very faded and I believe it is a contact image from being stacked with a poster (ink transfer). This photo board is attached to a thicker backing paper board. This back board is heavily stained as seen on the back.
Noticeable ripples/warps to both the photo board and the backing board
--- Noted ruled pencil marks upper and lower left corners near edge. Front image has long drip marks going down length of image, most clearly seen in the dark area on the right but also seen througout image. Again, the entire image has ripples/warps.
--- Corner pinholes. Note the rust marks on the back board indicating it was framed. Notice the bottom edge of the photo, there is some sort of touch up, almost looks like it was done after printing, looks like a line was whited out with shadow areas darkened in. This may have been done to the negative, possibly to conceal some kind of text or damage. Upper right corner shows there had been some kind of tape residue on the original negative or image.
