Rare & Retired - Disney Pinocchio & Figaro Christmas Stocking Hanger - MINT
This gorgeous piece is a stocking or garland holder that sits atop your fireplace mantle (or wherever you hang your Christmas stockings or garland) to hold it in place. It's rendered in high quality, hand-painted resin, and is retired with a limited number of examples in the hands of Disney collectors.
There are very few of them left out there that are brand new and mint condition, like this one.
Pinocchio teases his cat, Figaro, with a piece of garland while sitting atop your Christmas stocking and guarding it against peeking, but Figaro is too busy trying to attack a bright red bow to notice. This piece just radiates vibrant color and Christmas cheer.
If you notice any small white dots in the photos, they’re likely just tiny bits of styrofoam from the packaging. This piece comes from my smoke-free, pet-free home.
This piece is 7” tall and is brand new, in the box, with all original packing materials. The piece was only removed from the box to inspect and photograph it and is in mint condition. I’ll be shipping this piece to you double-boxed, with the box in which it was sent to me by Disney enclosed within a bigger box and surrounded by additional packing material for even greater protection during shipping.
Pinocchio
is a 1940 American animated musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Productions and based on the 1883 Italian children's novel The Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi. It was the second animated feature film produced by Disney, made after the first animated success Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937).
Many film historians consider this to be the film that most closely approaches technical perfection of all the Disney animated features. Film critic Leonard Maltin said, "with Pinocchio, Disney reached not only the height of his powers, but the apex of what many critics consider to be the realm of the animated cartoon."
In 1994, Pinocchio was added to the United States National Film Registry as being deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant". Filmmaker Terry Gilliam selected it as one of the ten best animated films of all time in a 2001 article written for The Guardian and in 2005, Time named it one of the 100 best films of the last 80 years, and then in June 2011 named it the best animated movie of "The 25 All-TIME Best Animated Films."

1) In order to list items with calculated shipping (as is the case with this item) I had to package each item for shipping and then measure and weigh the package. So this item is already boxed for shipping by itself.
2) Most of the Disney collectibles I'm selling from my collection are fragile and placing more than one of them in a package will put them at risk for breakage during shipping.
