REBECCA LUCARIO ACOMA MUSEUM-QUALITY FINE-LINE BOWL

From my personal collection I am pleased to offer a gorgeous hand-coiled thin-walled and light weight Acoma bowl. This white pottery piece is signed by Rebecca Lucario (1951 - present) of the Acoma Pueblo. It measures 3 1/4" high by 6 3/8" across, and with its stunning precise fine line decoration it makes a great impression.
The superb quality of Rebecca’s pottery has won numerous awards at the great New Mexico shows and markets including even Best of Show. She is celebrated especially for her detailed and intricate painted designs. She clearly has a steady hand! In this case we have a very nice example of her meticulous work in making and painting pots.
This is a museum-quality pot. There are no cracks, chips, rubs, scratches, hairlines or repairs. Even the bottom, which almost always has some shelf scratches, is very nice, showing only Rebecca’s’s clear precise signature. You will not find a nicer one.
Most of my items are estate, vintage or antique. They are not new; have been handled and enjoyed; and may well have age appropriate use wear. Hand-made pots invariably have irregularities or imperfections of some sort or other. I have never actually seen the perfect hand-made pot. Even photographs may not clearly show every possible irregularity and defect and indeed may exaggerate small imperfections into what appear to be major ones. Not everything appearing in a photograph will necessarily be mentioned specifically in the text. Please keep in mind these factors when placing bids. Do examine the pictures carefully as they are an integral part of the description.
