History
Red Earth, Inc. began in 1978 with the establishment of the Center of the American Indian, a museum dedicated to showcasing Native American arts. In 1987, a group of influential community and tribal leaders founded the Red Earth American Indian Cultural Festival to showcase Native American dance and art. The two groups merged in 1992 to create Red Earth, Inc., which is now one of the most respected organizations of its type in the United States.

--- 18 Kodachrome and Ektachrome 35mm slides date stamped in the 1970's (my own digital photos are taken handheld on a light box, my camera sometimes has to compensate for the differing dynamic range of different slides). These were stored together in a small box with a tape label marked "cloths". Location is unknown, I was guessing Alaska or Canada. These are from a larger collection of slides from the estate of James Baenen who I understand was an archeology instructor at a local community college (a local dealer bought the collection locally a few years ago, he ended up donating a large portion on the Nez Perce to a local university). I have about 5 lots total I will be listing which is all I have.
