Russell Sanchez was 25 years old when he made this golden micaceous pot in 1988.  He began his pottery journey at age 12 with his great aunt Rose Gonzales (1900-1989) noted Pueblo potter.  He has  won numerous awards for his pottery, most recently "Best of Pottery" at 2019 Santa Fe Indian Market.
It is 6"  in diameter and 7.5" tall including the 2.5"  bear handled lid.  Weight is just under 2 lb.  Bottom is signed and dated.  The owner bought this piece in a Tucson gallery around 1990,
This ceramic pot was hand painted by Terrance M. Chino.  Terrance is a member of the Sun Clan tribe of Acoma Pueblo.  The pigments in his pottery are gathered from the various vegetation within Acoma Pueblo itself.  This pot is 13" in diameter at it's widest point and 17" tall.
