Three EXTRAORDINARY pots for one incredible price:
First up is a striking pot by the vaunted Hopi potter Dextra Quotskuyva Nampeyo. This pot exemplifies her traditional "migration lines" as well as her prized "bear claw" motif. Likely from the early eighties. The finely-painted areas are her hallmark and this is a sought-after design. At 7.25" by 7.25" by 3.75", this would sit to the center of any fine ceramics collection. It's got a wonderful. gleaming hue to it
.
The painting on the pot is all but pristine with only the most minor of abrasions. Slightest of hairline imperfections at the rim. I've done my absolute best to show any imperfections on this
impeccable
pot. This pot would be in the $5,000 range at gallery.
Next, is a little pot by Blue Corn. This
pristine
example shows her sought-after feather motif. It is a stout, beautiful pot that dazzles in its curio case. At gallery, this is a $1,500 pot.
Finally, I have a St. John's Anasazi black-on-red pot. It has been repieced and restored. It measures in at 10.5" by 10.5" by 5". The interior design is incredible, one of the nicest I've seen. At gallery, an example like this would sell for $1,500+ . Just check around on Ebay for lesser examples listed at $2,000 and up.
So there you go, $8,000 worth of pots for less than half the price. Happy to send more pictures, just send me a line.
As always, I'm a 100% Ebayer. Flat-rate shipping is to the lower 48 states only. I will not sell outside of the lower 48 states. The pots will come very carefully packed and fully insured for the final sales price. I will send three different boxes out, one for each pot. Happy to deliver anywhere in Virginia. Send me a message if you're local and we can work something out.
Thanks for looking.

Hand-Sculpted Pottery.
Imperfections, blemishes, and flaws
in the form of dimples, pimples, and fire scorching
add character, interest, and charm that
should be expected and cherished.
Jemez Pueblo pieces were
acquired through the 1980s, while the Navajo
vase was a warmly received
gift at some point in
the 1990s.
Substantially crafted,
and masterfully painted,
tipping the scales
nearly
2 pounds combined.
These are pre-owned art potteries, of vintage age, and will show
signs of regular wear normal to their careful and respected use.
However, each piece is in good
condition
with some surface marking and pin-point color loss.
Mild scuffing and scratching throughout.
Natural aged patina is present across red clay.
Magnified photos included above for your review.

Used to describe something that is not new but that is valued because it is in good condition, has attractive design, enduring interest, etc.
Can also be defined as:
?What one person may think is worthless may be cherished by another?
And usually at least two decades old.
However, this timeline is up to interpretation and active debate.
