High polished redware jar hand made by renowned potter, Tina Garcia of Santa Clara Pueblo. She learned pottery making from her mother Lydia Tafoya, her grandmother Severa Tafoya and her aunt, Angela Baca. Her mother was from Santa Clara Pueblo and her father from San Juan Pueblo (both pueblos in New Mexico); she signed her pottery jar "Tina Garcia San Juan/Santa Clara".
Jar is one of larger sizes made by Tina Garcia and measures 9 3/4" tall and 9 1/2" at its widest point.
Shown with a ruler for scale, nice condition. We are listing more storyteller pottery and will be happy to combine shipping.
I see no damage. Beautiful pottery!
