Up for consideration is a vintage Navajo Crystal handwoven blanket / rug. I bought it 35 years ago at an Indian show. The people were selling rugs and jewelry. I bought this one. It has 6 natural colors of wool woven into a great design. The size is 44" x 32" or 43" x 31"....it's not an exact rectangle being hand woven on a traditional loom.............The heavy velvet edging was sewn on previously when I bought it. The weaving is a pinch loose at the edge ( from hanging on the wall for years....)....The rug is in good decent shape. I figure it must be about 70 years old. I believe it is a "crystal pattern" It has a really nice pattern to it, well balanced, good naturally dyed wool...all shades of browns and tans. On the back are a few tiny specks of something. The last photo I tried to show all problems. It probably needs a dry cleaning. No real problems....just a few tiny flea bites.......It was made by a very good weaver. The shading from the light gives it a dusty appearance. It's not. It's pretty clean. It's just a bit difficult to photograph.
