Authentic Navajo rug, circa 1940's/1950's.
This piece measures roughly 57" x 43.5".
As you can see in the photos, there is some soiling that needs to be cleaned up. Also a couple small holes near the border (picture 9).
Other minor wear may also have the chance of being found in places.
The last 2 photos are of the rug flipped over on the other side.

Can you go back to your local auction house and return pieces for a
full refund after bidding everyone else out, winning, paying, and taking the piece home?? Or can you go into your local antique store and demand a full
refund after holding onto it or using it for 30 days?? The same normal everyday rational rules of human engagement apply here!!
Treasure hunting for you is how I pay the bills. It takes quite a bit
of time to sell each piece from beginning to end; Searching for, procuring it,
cleaning it up, researching, photography, all the middle parts you see when you
are on eBay looking, then high quality thoughtful packing, shipping,

of my pieces are vintage or antique, and sometimes have the possibility of

Traders like JB Moore would be the first to introduce the art of the Navajo to collectors back east, but it was rugs (not silver) that first captured the imaginations collectors and decorators. Following Moore's suit, other traders would begin to market Navajo weaving, even influencing many of the well-known styles. Today styles are not defined by regions, but instead perfected by dedicated weavers from all parts of the Navajo Nations. Storytelling is part of the Navajo culture. No history text had been written until the Europeans showed up, everything was passed down orally and through art. You will find storytelling in silver, basket weaving and other forms of art. That also holds true for rug weavings, where pictures and symbols tell the contemporary and traditional past of the Navajo people. We ship every day Monday through Friday via USPS Priority Mail. Your order will ship within 48 hours Monday through Friday except holidays. Insurance is included on all orders.
Returns Policy
With every purchase we allow for a provisional 30 day inspection period. If for any reason you do not want to keep an item that you have purchased, simply return the item in original condition within 30 days of receipt. You will be refunded the purchase price. Return shipping not included.
We are extremely reasonable, but the inspection offer is provisional--exclusively at our option. This is a service that most companies would only offer to established account customers. Each of our pieces is unique and carefully photographed. If we feel that the returned piece is in any way damaged, or different than the piece that we originally sent, we will return the item to you and no refund will be offered or made.
