Vintage Hopi Tewa Village earthenware pottery bowl; Alice Adams signature that was lightly etched or written
This could be an early work dating circa 1950s - 1960s
The bowl seems to be made from a yellow type clay; the outside of bowl is burnished
The design is painted in a dark brown coloring
At the interior there is, what looks like, a Kachina spirit that is painted off center
Height is 3 to 3 1/2 inches (the bowl is higher at one side)
Width is 8 1/2 inches
There a chip and some paint loss along the rim (see last 2 photos)

TERESITA NARANJO SANTA CLARA POTTERY ANANYU BOWL double polished, signed & dated 1950
This bowl is polished outside as well as inside. The Avanyu water serpent is beautifully carved around the pot.
5-1/4" wide, 2-1/2" tall
Condition: Very good for a 1950 vintage pot. NO CHIP OR CRACK. There are some light wear on the rim but I wasn't able to capture because they are so faint.
