A lovely handcoiled painted clay pot in the long tradition of Acoma Pueblo in New Mexico, "Sky City".
From a Dallas collection, it has no provenance. A little over 18" circumference at the waist, 13.5" circumference at mouth. Approximately 4.5" tall. Handcoiled, fired pot, polychromed and colored in black, as basketweave and oval pictograms. Nice example of Acoma's iconic linear painted decoration. Plain painted cream interior. Nice red ochre foot, signed "Acoma, N.M.", "Sky City"; somewhat separately is a later inked "Vicki" (which may be artisan Victoria Garcia or California gallerist Vicki Turbeville).
Please review pictures, ask questions. This gem ships carefully from Dallas, preferably domestically. Please be a good EBay citizen and fulfill payment upon purchase.
