The figurine is 4" tall Originally purchased out of a large collection of Native American items in Santa Fe, New Mexico awhile back. Good condition, wonderful look. This auction is for a Hopi Pueblo pottery bowl by the renowned documented potter Rosetta Huma, B.1919-D.1987. Traditional Hopi shallow bowl form with a Katsina Palhik Mana subject, butterfly maiden. Measures 7 1/8" in diameter, 1 3/4" raised edge. Rosetta Huma was from Sichomovi on First Mesa, Hopi. Rosetta was the mother of Wilford Huma and the former mother-in-law of Rondina Huma known for her exceptional gallery and museum featured pottery. Rosetta began making pottery in the 1950's and was a neighbor to Marcella Kahe and personally knew Nampeyo of Hano who passed in 1942. Very rarely do you come across her works for sale. Bowl has been part of a private Native American collection. Many photos shown up close for your review. No chips or repairs, some very minor age related wear, consistent with age. Starting bid is very low and there is no reserve. USPS secure insured
