Signed Large Zuni Native American Hand-caved and Painted Clay Pot, Duck Effigy by Anderson & Avelia Peynetsa in Pre-owned Mint Condition
15.5” H x 11” in Diameter, weighing 4.2 lbs. This beautiful unique coiled clay work of art was purchased from the Museum of Northern Arizona 10 years ago from the artists themselves, who were featured at the 20th Annual Zuni Festival of Arts & Culture. You will not see anything like it again!  Of all my extensive Native Indian pottery collection, this piece always garnered the most attention…it did for me, and it will for you.  Anderson & his wife, Avelia, are acclaimed Zuni artists from New Mexico who work in collaboration, as for this clay pot, as well as individually, winning innumerable show awards & prizes throughout the southwest & you can see why. Anderson is among the best contemporary Zuni pottery painters & sculptors known for his “precise, flowing lines.”  Avelia is the great- granddaughter of the famous potter, Catalina Zunie. This special work of visual art will be cherished by its new owner, and anyone who is fortunate enough to observe its stellar craftsmanship.
